The story
Shift premiums calculated the way the Employment Act requires
The Bahamas Employment Act sets standard hours at eight hours a day and forty hours a week, with overtime paid at not less than one and one half times the regular rate, rising to not less than twice the regular rate for overtime worked on a public holiday or a day off. Industrial, construction, manufacturing, transshipment, essential-service and law-enforcement operations can run standard hours to twelve hours a day before that threshold applies.
An employee in a tipped category in the tourism and hospitality industry is paid at the regular rate for overtime rather than the standard premium, except for a second day off worked in the same week. Gaming, resort and restaurant schedules built around tipped roles need that exception reflected in the shift premium rules, not the default overtime formula.

Built for multi-island, multi-location coverage
Island Luck, the Bahamas' largest licensed gaming and lottery operator, schedules 850 employees across more than 60 locations in Nassau, Freeport and the Family Islands from one system. Facial recognition clocks deployed across every site feed hours directly to payroll, and the operator runs eight payroll cycles a week, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and bonus runs, off the same connected schedule.
That is a published customer result, not a guaranteed outcome for every buyer. Bring your own location count and shift pattern to a demonstration and evaluate the same coverage against your own operation.
The story
From vacancy to filled shift to pay run
When a shift opens, whether from approved leave, a shift drop or a termination, Workzoom surfaces a ranked list of qualified, available staff based on skills, availability, hours worked and compliance limits. Managers assign directly or post the shift for bids without phone calls or a spreadsheet check.
The timekeeping policy can auto-unschedule an employee who passes a set daily hour limit or whose new shift overlaps one they already have. Once the shift is worked, scheduled hours flow into timekeeping for actual-versus-planned comparison, and approved hours feed payroll with overtime and public holiday premiums already calculated. There are no exports and no second system to reconcile.

Price the suite and evaluate a real Bahamian schedule
The Workforce Suite is US$4 per employee per month with a US$400 monthly minimum. All four suites, HR, Workforce, Payroll and Talent, are US$16 per employee per month with a US$700 monthly minimum. Implementation, migration, training and support are included; taxes and optional extras are separate.
Bring one location, one shift pattern and a public holiday to a demonstration. Review the ranked fill list, the auto-unschedule rule and the resulting overtime flag before moving your schedule, using your own pay frequencies rather than another customer's configuration.
