Hardware prices include shipping within North America and a 1-year full warranty. There is no recurring fee for the hardware.

Implementation included

Setup, data migration, and training, handled by a named specialist at no extra cost.

Month-to-month

Billed monthly and cancel anytime. No long-term contract, no lock-in.

No annual escalator

One published $4 per-suite rate. No annual escalator in the contract, no sales-quote upcharge.

The short answer

Workzoom pricing is whichever is higher: your employee count times $4 per employee per suite per month, or the monthly minimum for your suite count, from $400 for one suite to $700 for all four. All four suites together run $16 per employee per month. Implementation, data migration, training, and support are included at no extra cost, billed in USD everywhere except Canada, which is billed in CAD at the same rate.

How it compares

What mid-market HRIS actually costs.

Three years, 200 employees, all four suites. Sticker price is one number. What you pay after setup fees, migration, training, and annual hikes is another. Here is the all-in bill.

Workzoom is the only vendor here where year three costs the same as year one. No setup fee, no migration invoice, no annual hike.

Pricing principles

Pricing built to be easy to compare.

Most HR software pricing is built to be hard to compare: tiers that change, modules that move, fees that surface after you sign. We made four decisions that hold whether you weigh us against Dayforce, ADP Workforce Now, or a BambooHR plus Gusto stack.

Why is every suite the same $4?

One rate across HR, Payroll, Workforce, and Talent. We sell four full suites, not just payroll, and a different price on each would only signal which one we want to push hardest.

Why are there no setup fees?

Setup fees let a vendor profit before you go live. We'd rather earn it over the partnership. Implementation, migration, training, and your named specialist are all included.

Why is there no long-term contract?

Lock-in contracts exist when vendors don't trust the customer to want to stay. We do. Month-to-month by default, 5% off annual prepay, non-profits stack another 5%.

Why is there no enterprise tier?

"Enterprise: contact us" is a polite way of saying "we'll quote you a number you can't compare." A 200-employee team and a 2,000-employee team pay the same $4 per employee per suite. Your CFO can model three years on a spreadsheet without a sales call.

Security & infrastructure

Your data stays where it should.

AWS hosting with Canadian data residency, your data isolated per client and penetration-tested annually. The AWS infrastructure Workzoom runs on carries SOC 2 and ISO 27001; reports available under NDA.

AWS hosting in Canada

Hosted on AWS in ca-central-1 (Montreal) with multi-AZ redundancy. Isolated database schemas per client. AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.2 in transit. Your data never touches another organization's.

Audit-grade access controls

SAML 2.0 SSO with Azure AD, Okta, and OneLogin. Role-based access that restricts sensitive records separately from general HR data. Immutable audit logs, exportable to CSV. Every change is dated and attributed.

Named implementation team

Same implementation specialist from kickoff through go-live and beyond. Implementation, data migration, and training included at no extra cost.

Priced in the open. Built to stay that way.

One published $4 per suite rate. No setup invoice, no annual hike, no quote you can't compare. The math is right there, and so are we.

Common questions

Pricing questions

Answers HR teams ask before they sign. Anything else, ask us directly.

Workzoom HR software pricing includes everything other vendors charge separately for. Implementation support with a named specialist from kickoff to live, data migration from your existing HRIS or payroll provider, admin and end-user training, ongoing customer support, all future product updates, and year-end tax form generation (T4, W-2, ROE). There are no per-payroll-run fees, no per-report fees, no per-user license fees, and no implementation invoice waiting after the contract is signed.

Yes. Pricing is modular at $4 per employee per suite per month (USD, or CAD in Canada), so you only pay for the suites you turn on. Many clients start with one or two and expand: Island Luck began with Payroll and the Workforce suite for timekeeping, then grew, and County of Renfrew started with HR and Recruiting. Adding a suite later is the same $4 per employee per month, switched on against the employee records you already have, with no new setup project.

Almost nothing costs extra. The main optional add-on is biometric time-clock hardware: physical fingerprint or facial-recognition terminals, a one-time purchase from $1,195 USD ($1,495 CAD) each, and only if you want them. Software clocking through the mobile app, web, kiosk, and timesheet entry is included free with the Workforce suite. Implementation, data migration, training, support, product updates, and year-end tax forms are all in the $4 per employee per suite rate. There are no per-payroll-run, per-report, or per-user fees.

The price follows your headcount. You pay $4 per active employee per suite per month, so adding people costs $4 each, and on month-to-month billing a smaller team means a smaller invoice the next month, with no renegotiation. The per-employee rate never changes with scale: 100 employees on all four suites is $1,600 per month, 200 is $3,200, and 2,000 is $32,000. For teams under 100 employees, a monthly minimum applies (see below).

Yes. Two posted discount programs stack. Annual prepay billing earns 5% off the monthly rate. Non-profit organizations receive an additional 5% discount that stacks with annual prepay. A 200-employee non-profit with all four suites on annual prepay saves roughly 9.75% combined, dropping the effective rate from $16 per employee per month to approximately $14.44. There are no volume tiers, hidden discounts, or sales-negotiated rates beyond these two posted programs.

Your monthly price is whichever is higher: your employees × suites × $4, or the monthly minimum for the number of suites you run. The minimum only ever applies under 100 employees, and the fewer suites and the fewer employees you have, the more likely you are to see it. Above the crossover headcount in the table, the per-employee math is always the higher number, so the minimum no longer applies.

SuitesPer-employee priceMonthly minimumMinimum stops applying at
1 suiteemployees × $4$400100 employees
2 suitesemployees × $8$50063 employees
3 suitesemployees × $12$60050 employees
All four suitesemployees × $16$70044 employees

Example: 60 employees on one suite calculates to $240 (60 × $4), which is below the $400 one-suite minimum, so you pay $400. The same 60 employees on all four suites calculate to $960 (60 × $16), which is above the $700 minimum, so you pay the per-employee price of $960.

The minimum exists because every client runs in their own dedicated, isolated environment, with implementation, data migration, training, support, and ongoing product development all included in the $4. For a small team the per-employee price alone would not cover the real cost of standing up and running that environment, so the monthly minimum applies instead.

You are billed monthly by default, or you can prepay annually for 5% off. Pricing is set by market: the United States, Bahamas, Caribbean, and all other markets are billed in USD, and Canadian customers are billed in CAD at the same $4 per employee per suite, with no exchange-rate markup. You can pay by wire transfer, EFT, or pre-authorized credit. Use the USD/CAD toggle in the calculator above, or open pricing in USD / pricing in CAD.

Larger vendors typically charge $8 to $25 per employee, add setup fees of $5,000 to $50,000, and rotate support teams on a ticket basis. Workzoom publishes pricing upfront at $4 per suite per employee, includes implementation, and assigns the same support team from kickoff onward through go-live and beyond. See our Dayforce and BambooHR comparison pages for detailed breakdowns.

Most Workzoom implementations run four to twelve weeks (twelve to thirty-six for large or complex rollouts), depending on size, scope, and how quickly your team can meet and decide. Your dedicated implementation specialist handles data migration, system configuration, payroll mapping, and administrator training. The same person stays with you from kickoff through go-live and into ongoing support. There is no handoff between teams, which is why our HR and payroll software cost includes implementation rather than billing it separately. See how client-led implementation works.
