The Antigua SSS calculator works out Antigua and Barbuda Social Security Scheme (SSS), Medical Benefits Scheme (MBS), and Education Levy contributions on any gross pay. It uses current rates from the Antigua and Barbuda Social Security Board (ABSSB) and the Medical Benefits Scheme, the EC$6,500 monthly insurable ceiling, and the Education Levy bracket structure. Workzoom applies the current ABSSB rate of 9.5% for the employer and 6.5% for the employee on insurable earnings up to the XCD 6,500 monthly ceiling. The combined private-sector contribution is 16% of insurable pay, effective 1 January 2025 (raised from 14% under the prior schedule). Public sector employers contribute on a 15% combined rate. Rates are set by the Antigua and Barbuda Social Security Board.

The Medical Benefits Scheme is a matched contribution at 3.5% employer and 3.5% employee on insurable earnings to the same XCD 6,500 monthly ceiling that applies to ABSSB, for employees aged 16 to 59. The Education Levy is an employee-only deduction administered by the Antigua & Barbuda Board of Education. It applies at 2.5% on monthly income from XCD 541.67 to XCD 5,000, then 5% on income above XCD 5,000 per month. Workzoom applies the exemption and the second tier per employee, remitting the levy alongside the monthly PAYE schedule.

The ABSSB SS1 schedule is due by the 14th of the following month. The Medical Benefits Scheme return and the Inland Revenue PAYE schedule (which carries the Education Levy) are both due by the 15th. Workzoom generates all three from the same payroll close, so no return is forgotten.
